Yarrow
(Achillea Millefolium)
What is it?
Also known as soldier's herb, yarrow has been used medicinally for centuries. It has anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and diuretic effects. Yarrow also promotes sweating, lowers blood pressure, relieves muscle spasm, improves digestion and stops bleeding.
What it does in the body
Yarrow is used to treat gastrointestinal problems, menstrual disorders, fevers, colds and haemorrhoids. It is also used for venous problems such as varicose veins, to lower blood pressure, and to reduce clotting.
