What is it?
Long used in traditional Indian medicine as a treatment for diabetes, gymnema has been shown to help in blood sugar control, possibly by improving insulin production.
What it does in the body
Gymnema is used to treat Type I and Type II diabetes.
Cautions
Anyone using herbs to treat diabetes should have their blood sugar closely monitored.
